WASHINGTON, NC -- A few times every year, I like to catch a pretty day and drop by the skate park here in Washington. PCM Skatepark was built here a few years back as a memorial to 13-year-old Patrick Cochran.

You’ll find skaters of all ages there. I’ve always been pleased with the considerate attitudes among the skaters there. Even when they don’t understand what that santa-looking old fart is doing there with his old-fashioned cameras.

It’s fun and helps keep me malleable.

Youth is not necessary at the park.
