BC Rail
GREENVILLE -- My first sighting of BC Rail’s 1874 was in 2009 in Raleigh. She was one of nine cabooses sided along Capitol Boulevard, north of CSX’s Raleigh Yard. That’s a long way from her British Columbia home on the opposite corner of the continent.
Just a few days ago, I spotted her again in Greenville, NC. She was on a siding beside a warehouse, along the line from Chocowinity to Wilson. I was chasing a whistle that turned out to be a CLNA run back to Wilson.
Today, the cupola caboose appears to be an occasional shelter for a sketchy tenants.
